That is a concern of ours as well, the result would likely be decreased queue times for horde on the PvP server, and increased queue times for the Alliance on the PvP server. This could risk further unbalancing the PvP faction balance. We don't expect the PvE realm to meaningfully feel a change in their BG experience given the population imbalance.Duraluminium wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2026 6:55 am The thing is that all the PVP players I know are fine with the idea of xserver bgs enabled while xfaction disabled. But there are details that we want to know before we can make a decision. The main concern is that the PVE server got 1572 alliance lvl 60 players and 931 horde lvl 60 players. If they all queue up without xfaction, alliance will have very long queues. Obviously adding current PVP server population will not help, as it is too low to change anything (147A to 186H).
If you make it like that, then horde on the PVP server will not only be more in numbers, but will also have way shorter queue timers, so it will dominate the server, and with time it may even become a monofaction server.
But also I think that probably not all the characters on the PVE server are actually getting into bgs. And the proportion may be different for different factions.
I think that to understand what we are getting into, we need more data.
Could you share statistics on how many alliance and horde players are joining bgs on the PVE server?
And on the polls wording:
The problem is not in how you phrase it, but in how much details you provide. Community is not informed well enough, and does not know even how it is going to look like. We may be up for the idea, but very much against some of the details or outcomes that can be predicted if we have the details.
I will pull some numbers on the BG participations on the PvE server cause that is a point we had not considered thank you!
Yeah getting enough detail into polls like this is difficult. Not only are the details undecided on for the most part, but they also will require a fair bit of research and work to decide. Not to mention the fact that we need to keep the poll concise enough for most players to actually read them and the details can get pretty wordy.
Right now the details that we have about it would be either;
1.) PvP and PvE both get cross realm (and loose cross faction) BGs together as it.
2.) PvE realm gets an option to queue into cross realm BGs that are not cross faction, or cross faction BGs. Of course this has a myriad of its own issues like potentially splitting the BG queue player base, leaving one of the two options dead in the water
