Moot. Availability is what matters. If they are synced otherwise, the realm differences are irrelevant.

I might not understand your "point". My assumption is that for the PvE and PvP realm to have cross-realm BG, they would have to be synced phase-wise and content-wise.

Right now the details that we have about it would be either;
1.) PvP and PvE both get cross realm (and loose cross faction) BGs together as it.
2.) PvE realm gets an option to queue into cross realm BGs that are not cross faction, or cross faction BGs.

Option 2 is only one that makes sense because pve server has no faction balance lock, and this wil result in only allyside of pvp server getting pve'rs in their bgs vs full pvp server. Wich already has enough ally pvpers considering rerolling horde instead, further hurthing pvp server.

Couldn't PvP realm just jump to the front of the line? And isn't there a faction-balance system on the PvP realm which, on character creation, locks down one faction if they're comparably too numerous?

Pvp does have it, wich is why pve need xfaction because they dont. Wich results in pve server having 2 qeues.

Sorry, I do not know of any PVPers on the xfaction PVE realm, where everyone is obliged to be friends and live in peace. You are not a PVP player if you are not on the PVP realm. You may find some PVP activity enjoyable, but you are nothing more than a tourist.
No offense to you personally, it's just my and many other players point of view on such commentators.
