Berdal wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 5:48 am If consumes are that important and strictly necessary for everyone in raids, that is another problem in and of itself. I get it if it's just to compensate for not having great great yet. And for key players (tanks?) in specific situations (hard bosses). Also nobody would be surprised if HC raids require maxed out buffs.

But if consumes are otherwise generally a requirement for raiding. Please balance raids around not requiring that, on the very same basis that World Buffs are not for raiding.

Of course, consumes/maxing out buffs would still be relevant to minmax or get tactical advantage in PvP.

Sidenote: It initially felt weird that on Epoch you could only have one defensive (Guardian) elixir and one offensive elixir. But I got used to it. And come to think of it it makes sense. So you don't just have to spam all potions, but have to prioritize for a tactical advantage depending on your build and strategy.
2. In guilds where consumes are mandatory and they can't afford them, it will push them towards RMT, which seems counterintuitive. As a tank myself I need flasks + protection pots along with the basic consumes, not really an issue for me since I can gold farm but all this change does is make it more expensive. No upside.
I do agree that having 1 guardian/1 battle elixir on would be quite neat. Alternatively could do it the way TBC did, have flask count as both.
Surely it isn't mandatory for the entire guild to be fully buffed with every thinkable consumeable. I get it as a tank, or another key role it can be important, in which case you have a 40 man raiding group, maybe even an entire guild to help acquire the ingredients necessary. Considering the guildwide effort raiding often is, having at least 40 people to make sure the important roles get buffed on important encounters, doesn't seem too unrealistic.

"Battleground experience now properly scales with level. This does not affect those level 33 and below, but on the top end reduced BG experience by approximately 50% to be in line with questing exp perhour."
Great job, developers! You just murdered Low lvl BGs. Now, instead of instant BG procs, you're stuck in the queue for 30 minutes on SUNDAY. applause

Unfortunately this is one of the changes they will never budge from because they think they know better. They have no real argument as to nerfing the exp from it other than ''it just shouldnt be faster!!''

Id be curious to see a poll on this for the pvp server specifically. I genuinely think a majority of players on there, myself included, did not want this change. Most of my leveling was from pvp/bgs and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. This is exactly what I wanted from a pvp server.

So i have been playing on octo wow for only 2 weeks so far and while i think we can all agree That challenges should not get the same bonus for BGs as non challange characters. I think we can all agree that this 50% exp nurf is the death of the BGs. also i have teken the time to do some quick testing as to ""BGS are faster then questing" this is a strait up lie as anyone who knows how to properly Quest/ EXP will easily surpass anyone who is only BGing to level.

my first week i grinded from 1-35 geting roughly 5 levels per day as i dont play on weekends (i know the exp at these ranged were not effected but just my experiance)..

my 2nd week i was gettin anywhere from 2-3 levels per day Doing only Bgs for 6-8 hours per day.. at this point i was in the mid 40s and then the nurfs changed.

I went from getting 2 ish levels a day to less than a level a day.......... this due to the fact no BG ques were poping anymore. so fron this point i decided to just go quest and level the normal way.. i procedded to get 3-5 levels per day leveling and questing from level 45-55

I wonder where the Devs are getting this EXP per hour data as its clearly flawed and not accurate at all.. i mean i assume they are just pulling numbers out of thin air but this is a very sad day for the server. I cant see this server lasting long at all when the entier playerbase is unhappy we might as well just play on blizzard servers

They won't do that poll because they know it'll give the answer they don't like.

In general yes, people tend to vote for things to be made easier. That however is not the spirit of vanilla. This is a vanilla plus server. I'm not sure how many times this needs to be explained. This isn't Ascension. It's not retail. The leveling is purposely slow and that's what a huge portion of the community wants. I'm genuinely confused as to why you all choose to play on a vanilla style server then complain about vanilla things. There are other servers out there that cater to precisely what you want.

What really bothers me is that there are so few servers like Octo that actually stand up to the rabid vocal minority that want everything dumbed down and made easy. Some of us actually enjoy the journey, man. It's not always about the destination. You allegedly enjoy PVP, but you're upset that you have to spend more time PVPing? That's nonsensical.

The only thing that upsets me is dead BGs. Even if you're strong enough to wait 30-minute in queues, the only thing you'll get is a 5-minute BG that will close because there aren't enough players. Every time I hear excuses for weird decisions, I hear the phrase "Spirit of Vanilla." Remember when the Twow developers announced the first racial changes for PvP a long time ago :D? The changes where Forsaken could no longer remove fear with their racial ability. I heard a lot of "Spirit of Vanilla" bullshit back then too, until players poured a bunch of "Nutella" on the developers' heads.
I don't know why the developers keep making weird decisions. It started with the opening of the PvP server. Every reasonable person knew it would be another Tel'abim. And here we are... 400online...
I feel like some of them just have a manic obsession with separating different groups of players. Hc players, pvp plsyers... now we're voting for Alli/Horde separation lol. I'm not a huge fan of cross-facrion bgs, but let's be honest, this will lead to long queues too.
STOP MAKING STUPID CHANGES PLEASE and focus on fixing bugs instead.

We're from Tel'Abim — you're not a Turtle WoW player ; you've proved it over & over again by the sheer ignorance you've displayed in nearly every comment.

You not knowing even the slightest things about Turtle WoW totally invalidate anything you claim. This is a Turtle WoW server like it or not and 95% of the player base is from Turtle WoW like it or not.

Keep your retrograde Vanilla wannabe opinions to yourself if you're going to speak from the side of ignorance as you've constantly been doing.

You don't know the first thing about Twow or you wouldn't even have brought up what you believe is an argument but 95% of the players already here know is bullshit.

Do piss off to classic servers if you want a pure vanilla experience and then again you don't even know what vanilla is as you've never played without normalisation or lua script macros.

You're some edgy 15-25 year old at best speaking about things he's never lived through.

We could easily see just how "huge" of a portion of the pvp server wants it with a poll. Something tells me you dont speak for a majority.
