and move poll NPC for pvp into champion hall, so only true pvpers can vote
This would be exactly one of the issues I was highlighting. If we select for "true pvpers" in the poll by filtering out those with less time spent in BGs, then we we're not actually filtering out people with no interest in PVP, but increasing the proportional representation of those with easier access to the content (I.e. those with shorter que times) as the whole issue is regarding some people NOT being able to partake equally.

Personally I'd prefer cross-server BGs over cross-faction, but obviously the devs have better insight in to how that would end up numbers wise.

more alliance than horde mean longer queues for alliance, not longer queues for horde. if queues are long that mean there is simply not enough players queued for that bracket. in what twisted world would it mean that horde is at a disadvantage when you actually have an advantage, given that there was high enough numbers for both sides to get the BG going in the first place.

it was the same on turtle. when population was healthy, but horde still had fewer numbers than alliance. horde had a massive advantage averaging 2-3 ranks above the average alliance and gaining a rich knowledge of the fellow players for better teamwork. whereas alliance endure a continuous stream of tourists further adding to the disadvantage.

horde are well known to be dedicated PVP'ers and are known to exploit anything to not lose. iv been in enough AV's where horde after having been slowly losing over two hours, decide to turtle completely up. pushing the AV to the 4 hour mark.

ever since 2008 the horde have had the upper hand in PVP with the wow-wide call to pool dedicated PVP'ers to that side. yet you are surprised that alliance ignore you on the PVP realm.

I could go on and elaborate, but im writing to trolling gankers. you do not represent the wow community. you have your little server, live with it or go play another game.

I agree the poll should not be a decisive factor.

*No cross-server BG. That would be the absolute worst, it is vital that the gankers and dedicated PVP'ers are isolated from the PVE. do come gank all the warmode players on PVE realm though. some retail shit going on here.

*No cross-faction BG. Or at least a toggle so that one can opt out of it. getting put on wrong team mean an instant /afk as should be widely done by anyone who despise this world of peacecraft nonsense.

*Vanilla plus not retail minus.

We take em with a grain of salt in general with this front of our minds. But looking forward to seeing the discussion here about how others feel.
I want my vote to mean something.

That being said, any result between 40/60 - 60/40 probably needs more official discussion on the forum before a meaningful vote is held to weigh the possible outcomes.

I do truly appreciate that when something is implemented and it doesn't end up being a good change, it is reverted once enough discussion takes place to merit it.

Thank you.

is that the PvE server? more alliance willing to pvp there and more horde on the PvP server. sounds like x-realm BGs would be win-win

i direct you to line 15 of my previous post.

no. if you want to make good pvp you don't pit dedicated pvp'ers against pve'ers.

you play with your own kind or you mingle with the pve players and play on even levels of dedication/experience across the entire team.

it's really sad that i even have to mention that premade is a thing.

implement cross server BG and you kill BG's. then none can do BG. is that what you want?

edit: and a premade is not even required when 90% of who que from pvp realm are already premade material. focus needs to be on class balance so that when population grow people actually find interest in doing BG. the current design produce players ragequitting. it is not because of twinks, it is because of severely unbalanced class design.

not that people who go up against randoms in a premade ever considered what it takes to have a healthy population and wouldn't ever consider an even battlefield aside from once in a blue moon. would sooner play another game where the ganking can continue.

you ruin enough games.

70/30 works for osrs. Just go with that. It's a proven method.

Wrong.

It is not like pvp alliance vs pve horde. Both sides get pve and pvp players. Currently on pvp server you can get into randoms vs team on voice comms games. Or pve players queuing for a couple of games vs dedicated pvp players. In reality bigger player pool should be more diversification.

Thats true class balance needs to be addressed.

Also player mentality. Dont give up after the first loss especially if you know theres room for improvement (you are undergeared, less experienced etc.)

edit:
With bigger player pool you can get the premade vs premade games too. Players who premade mostly prefer those games, not steamrolling randoms.

If xrealm will be implemented and i constantly get into games vs premades, guess i will consider organising one for ourselves too.

First goal would be getting BGs to pop more frequently, and thats xrealm to increase the player pool.

It might be introduced as a temporary measure until the population situation improves, but right now the main problem for players is hour-long queues for BGs — and we plan to fix it
If you have any other ideas/suggestions/feedback on how to free players from long BG wait times, please don't hesitate — we'd be happy to hear you out
Thanks, the PVP realm desperately needs it. I don't think we've had a AV pop ever. WSG/AB can be 1-3 hours queue, even when close to peak population times. I know there's some people that have toons on both that would log their PVE toons just to BG. Anything that helps the PVP realm hold population or grow slowly is appreciated... and this, even as temporary measure would help.
