The 20k cap was pulled out of thin air anyway. There's no legit argument for it.Dzielkus wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 6:38 pmI don't understand why you bring pve to pvp here.Crackadia wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 5:37 pmCan you explain why?Dzielkus wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 7:15 am Not sure how it works now, but in turtle after reaching 20k you couldnt gain more honor but you still rank up with bg/hk. I assume we got the same mechanic cause many ppl have 10rank with max bar for r11 stacked.
Honor limit was introduced to prevent no-lifers gaining all items in one week.
I think it is still resonable![]()
Conversely, should a mechanic that limits how many raid items you can loot in one week be implemented, to prevent no-lifers gaining all items in one raid lockout?
Honor limit is good for mental health of no-lifers as well casual players. It also extends pvp "season" "life" - back in turtle many players just stopped playing after reaching r14 (which is quite obvious after playing nearly 24/7 only BGs for 2 months...)
If it comes to raids: i belive instance id works that way, loot distrubution limits in most of cases number of items you may get (ofc you may abuse it a bit if guild want to equip one char, but so 4 geared pvp players may "boost" 5th one playing premades).
What's more raids are more rng based - you might not get single item in many instance resets.
The entire system is gated via progression phases. Max rn is rank 10. (Also completely unnecessary)
You need about 8 weeks of farm for only the t2 set ( 6 armor pieces ) that's not counting the offset items. For t3 you need the t2 items, so ontop of that extra 30-50k hnr and conquest pts per item. PER ITEM. So at least 2 weeks, sometimes 3 for an item.
For t3 you also need r14, which is not that much easier to get as it was in old system.
So yeah, I don't think this weekly cap does anything other than make an already brutal grind just massively worse.
If someone is no lifing that, they deserve it. It takes significantly more time and effort than anything else in the game.
