Leveling an alt the normal way is just not possible when having a wife and kid.

Appeal an account or character ban. Open a topic and a Game Master will review it.

Having an alt is just for personal enjoyment. Real money trading is not the reason of being banned. Its the fact that i'm using a seperate character to level an alt. Not even Blizzard is against that... Complete bogus rule.
Sniejezakaf wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 6:04 pm Just ban my main too. No point in talking. It's gonna be dead in a few months anyhow.

Sniejezkaf, the rules say you are allowed to multi-box (play two characters). There are a few stipulations to this that could result in a ban but just playing two characters is not an automatic ban. If you're not sure what the stipulations are, they are in explained in the rules - https://octowow.st/rules.

I point this out because you are saying that there has been no RMT and think it's due to multi-boxing. My suggestion would be to make your case that there was no RMT and wait for Krestel to reply.

You started to do that and then got baited by a few people that don't have any say.

To me, they’re just thoroughly unlikeable assholes who have nothing better to do than make life difficult for the very people who bring this server to life. ... blahblah waahwaah
Just for anyone wondering: the "something to complain about" here is Chromaggus stealing accounts.

Oh the humanity that such a small infraction would be taken notice of and these pillars of the community are not exempt of any and all rules.

I am 99.9% sure it was due to him multiboxing to boost himself in the open world with his max level character.

In any case, if you can't abide the rules, play somewhere where the rules are to your liking. What's so hard about that? I'm actually a fan of multiboxing, having done it for ages on retail servers. The reason I don't do it here is because the rules are such that I don't see enough enjoyment coming from it. I will not just excuse myself of the rules because I would prefer to do things some other way... It's all laziness, entitlement and excuses. Good riddance.

Ah I misread your first post as an RMT admission, sorry about that

I pulled the logs and I see you being warned only once before the ban, however I do see you open world boosting on the PvP server repeatedly for over a month after the warning.

In light of it being the first ban for multiboxing, I have reduced the ban from perminant to 2 weeks.

You can disagree with the rule and we can have a conversation about it, but that doesn't really belong in the ban appeal section.

If the PvP server is still in rough shape a month from now, we will be revisiting the topic of exp rates on the PvP server specifically.
Sincerely,

I agree with you. I was not defending any actions, I just couldnt tell myself what the reason for the ban was in this case. OP mentioned PVP and mentioned boosting but Krestel came back with RMT which is more severe treatment from what I have seen. It could have been RMT boosting. I just wanted to step in before OP flew off the rails to a point of no return because a few people posted before Krestel could come back to review.

That's why I opted to post the rules so OP could better explain his circumstance if needed. For the first month/two when I joined coming from never playing on a private server I never even knew there was a rule page.

OP, if you don't browse the forums much there's an active post right now about the state of PVP server and as Krestel mentioned they are also advocating for exp boost on PVP server. Might be worth posting something there state your opinion on leveling on YS. https://octowow.st/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3024.

Honestly from the way you phrased your post I genuinely thought you were admitting to RMT too, can't really blame them for misunderstanding.
