Question around freedom of speech on this server and expectations

Hey All, I have a question regarding freedom of speech on this server and what is allowed and not allowed. I will use some bad words here because its quite difficult to ask this for specifics while not saying anything at all.

For some context:
- I have a lv 15, 30 and 22
- Really enjoying the server, community and many aspects of Octowow
- Have been bringing people to the server and growing the population as I want the best for the server long term

My issue and concern:
- I have already been muted before for saying the word "nigga" to an NPC (not at a person or attacking anyone) while casually talking in a dungeon group
- Then today I was warned and flagged again in world chat for making a joke

My goal with this post is not to discuss my individual situation. I am trying to understand what is the stance of the staff, or if there are any sort of written guidelines around what is accepted or not.

I would hate to level up a character to 60 and spend time of my life just to get banned for saying something that in my books is not a problem, but for someone else it is. (Which I think is asinine but that's besides the point).

I want to understand what is the "line" here because I see people saying stuff like "gay and retarded" on the chat, I see people calling other "faggots" and all sorts of things, and seemingly that is ok? But then I see other people get dinged for diff types of comments.

You know you could just focus on being nice and pleasant to those around you, instead of checking where the line for being a dick is? Just because the other morons use ugly words doesn't mean you have to as well...
