pfUIScrollingEditBoxTemplate (api/ui-widgets.xml) is ScrollingEditBoxTemplate
with pfUIScrollBarTemplate beside the text. Its mixin's SetFont gives the
box a font object of its own, since the edit box sets its font by object on
every SetText and pfUI fonts are paths. ui-widgets.lua now loads before the
XML, which needs the mixin.
The share box no longer recomputes its scroll child on every text change.
Chat copy reads each chat frame's messages with ClassicAPI's
GetMessageInfo when it opens, so the AddMessage hook, its 100-line copy of
the history and the skip of combat frames are gone. It shows every line
the frame keeps, lines from before login included. It puts the caret at
the end to scroll to the newest line instead of three OnUpdate passes, and
Escape now leaves copy mode on every chat frame.
The RegisterSlashCommand helper in api/api.lua was effectively unused
(only macrotweak called it); every other command hand-rolled the
SLASH_*/SlashCmdList pair. Convert the existing manual registrations to
the helper with force=true, preserving the current always-bind behavior
while centralizing the pattern behind one code path (and its _G. and
conflict-check handling).
Left as-is: pfUI.lua's /rl, /pfui, /gm (registered before api.lua
defines the helper) and the vendored libs' debug commands.
Export now diffs the config against defaults and emits
SerializeCBOR -> CompressString (zlib) -> EncodeBase64 with a "!pf1!"
prefix. Import reverses that into a plain table — no loadstring, so a
pasted profile is data and can't execute code. The Decode/Encode button
converts blob <-> editable JSON (SerializeJSON/DeserializeJSON) for
inspection and hand-edits.
Old-format strings still import: standard base64 via DecodeBase64, the
custom LZW decompressor kept import-only, and the resulting Lua source
runs in an EMPTY setfenv sandbox that can only assign its config table.
Decode on a legacy string yields the JSON view, so Encode re-emits it
as a new-format blob (migration path).
Roughly half the paste size of the old LZW format, C-speed instead of
the old bit-string base64 (which froze the client on large configs),
and the format is fully standard — external tools can decode profiles
with stock base64/zlib/CBOR libraries.
Requires ClassicAPI with the SerializeCBOR buffer-growth fix (payloads
over 256 bytes returned nil before it).
Drop the now-vestigial expansion plumbing.
- Delete modules/thirdparty-tbc.lua + its xml Include
- Strip 10 tbc-tagged CreateConfig calls in modules/gui.lua
- Drop the expansion arg from CreateConfig() signature + the disabled-
entry rendering path that depended on it
- Drop the showdisabled GUI toggle + its default
- Simplify pfUI:RegisterModule / pfUI:RegisterSkin to (name, func) only
- Strip the leading version arg ("vanilla:tbc", etc.) from all 114
Register call sites
- Delete the pfUI.expansion variable
- The serialize() function didn't escape " in string values, causing exports to be invalid Lua whenever a value contained double quotes (e.g. clickcast macros like CastSpellByName("Nature's Swiftness")). This made the Import button stay red with no error message.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed 40-yard range check not working for raid/party frames
- Fixed aggro indicator not displaying properly on raid/party frames
- Improved aggro cache to only cache positive results for instant detection
- Fixed HP/Mana not updating with "Use Raid Frames for group" enabled
- Added SuperWoW nil-check for SpellInfo
- Added missing events: PARTY_MEMBER_ENABLE, PARTY_MEMBER_DISABLE, PLAYER_UPDATE_RESTING
UI Improvements:
- Share/Hoverbind buttons now show warning when module is disabled
Due to crashes/freezes while moving some frames, one possible
reason could be that pfUI was using OnMouseDown and OnMouseUp
to run its frame-moving code. I have noticed better performance
when using the intended functions, OnDragStart and OnDragStop
to move frames.
This commit changes every occurrence of such functions and splits
drag and click into seperate functions where required.
