I had a SFK run. Really nice vibes, everyone courteous towards one another.

The Enchanter of the group asked to need on anything if we all roll greed or if none of us needed anything. No objections.
Simple and organized and we all got everything we'd want or need.

Also can we stop pretending that Paladins don't benefit from Spell Damage or Intellect please?

This entire thread reminds of of the time I ate a 3 day ban on Classic because a Feral druid was mad he wasn't allowed to roll on CHT in MC

He continuesly denied that its tank pants and started insulting+ tried to start a public witch hunt on forums. This is reason enough to not invite this people to your partys ruining your fun. Also they disbanded the party wich is rude af to the other people in party because they lost a roll on loot. Idc. Sad they dont play on pvp server, id get em camped. He had his chance to change stance instead he tried shift focus to GM instead of admitting his mistake.
You seem to be lacking in some cognitive capacity, so I'll address some of your repeatedly incorrect or untrue statements:
- I did not lose a roll, I am a warrior. I am reporting on this BS because it is unfair.
- The main problem isn't that the healer was robbed, the problem is that apparently you need to have a "previous agreement" not to ninja, confirmed by a GM, otherwise rolling for ANYTHING is a "player dispute".
- I'm willing to meet people in the middle and say it's a caster DPS shaman item, EVEN THEN, based on its stats, it should've gone to the healer without a doubt, because every other DPS wore cloth.
- The goalpost has been moved so many times it no longer resembles any sort of sense, the first argument is that it COULD be used by some prot paladins, once I showed that he is rolling with that as an excuse while fulfilling a DPS role, it suddenly became an all spec paladin item? LOL Guess mages gotta start looking out for all the ret/prot paladins needing on their cloth BIS.
- The party agreed on the aforementioned fact, and not only I but everyone else disbanded the party, I was one of the last to leave.
- How very funny of you to accuse me of trying to start a witch hunt when you said this:
Knifewrench wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2026 5:42 pm tbh ur whole shitguild should be server blacklisted because u guys cant be trusted.
And this
Knifewrench wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2026 6:01 pm Its a warrior that made the post he is freinds with the healer and mage and they all refused to continue the run after healer rudely needed on a item for not his spec and lost the roll, blacklist the whole shitter guild.
Warrior : spellhater
Healer paladin: cachorrito
Mage: tonkito

Again, the pants are irrelevant. We have TWO GMs admitting that you can roll on anything you can use, and it will be just labeled "player dispute" if someone reports you.
Once again, just for you, TWO GAME MASTERS have confirmed that you can roll on anything you can use. If you get reported, it will be labeled a PLAYER DISPUTE.

Would all of you agree if this item was Cloth instead of Mail?
Would all of you agree if a healer took a 2H sword with Strength because they can also incorporate damage into their rotation?
Hypocrisy...

At best, you're speaking nonsense. At worst, you're arguing in bad faith. At the very worst, I am arguing with some rudimentary AI, which I am beginning to suspect.

TL;DR If you're a cloth, leather, or mail caster... Look out for Retri / Prot paladins because according to these people, they should roll need as much as you. And if you wish to complain to a GM, you're out of luck, because that is a player dispute that should've been agreed on beforehand, before you got robbed.

And also Knifewrench is a cuckold lapdog.
ahhh ye the lvl 34 mail pants for ele shaman they cant wear till lvl 40.... bro ur justshowing ur cluelue and out witch hunting and moving goalposts. but seems its time u relvl or get a name change because u ruined ur name completely. never party with the following people, they will actively try witch hunt you on forums if u roll on items they need and disband the party if they lose a roll.
Warrior : spellhater
Healer paladin: cachorrito
Mage: tonkito
and no spelldmg item is tank item not heal item heal item has flat +healing so even then ur argument doesnt stand. if this was a 60 epic in raid with this stat devision no way in hell people let healer roll mainspec on this.

You cannot be this dense. The GM gave the rules of the server that he has to adhere to, so obviously they would apply to the scenario I gave as well. You purposely being naive for the sake of being a lapdog is the only insufferable thing.
It wasn’t ninja looting, so it defaults to the ruling he stated. If it was an outright ninja loot, he would’ve said differently, such as the scenario you presented.

Sad person you are, trolling or not.
Do the rules he gave not apply to the scenario I presented, or is there something I'm missing? Are you saying GMs have different server rules depending on the scenario? Weird. You're so confident that they would change the server rules depending on the loot that it seems like a delusion brought on by your desperate need to defend them.
As multiple people have already stated, the GM is responding to your specific scenario. No ninja looting occurred, so beyond the ordinary usage of group loot you would then require a specific agreement. That's how most people are interpreting it. The only people not interpreting it that way are the ones who think ninja looting occurred when it clearly didn't. So you're already confused and misinformed to begin with-- so why would the rest of your argument hold any water?

And again like what throws me off is how you guys are so hellbent on shouting far and wide that there are no loot rules, with the OP explicitly telling people to roll need on everything, and you have essentially said the same thing yourself. Let's just assume you're correct-- and you're not. But assuming you are, why would you want to essentially promote the behavior by informing people that there are no rules-- which there are. That's why people are treating you the way they are.

Octotyy wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2026 4:12 pm The GM never said that. You are falsely inferring he said that. Look at your screenshots, I just did.
Look harder! You're replying to someone else.
Octotyy wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2026 4:12 pm Stop trying to shift the narrative to the GM saying ninja looting is fine, because that was never explicitly stated anywhere in your screenshot.
Look harder, again! They did, twice. Once in the screenshot, once in the forums. "If no loot rules were established before the run began, this is considered a playerdispute and Support cannot intervene." means YOU MUST ESTABLISH LOOT RULES BEFORE THE RUN BEGINS. No assumption of needing for your role, no MS>OS>Free roll, Nothing! No guarantees! You're out on your own! You're mad at me but the GM said you're on your own!
Rathotdog wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2026 4:51 pm You Raven shills can go fuck themselves, stop trying to make Octo look bad, and go back to your shitty server where prot paladins can't roll on spell power items as to not offend some snowflakes like OP or you.
Yeah, it's definitely me making the server look bad, not most of the replies in this thread or the refusal from the staff to handle ninja looting.
Arguing in bad faith, Knifewrench's meltdown and (rather sad) attempt at cancel culture, pretending that Intellect and Spell power are the stats a prot paladin should be stacking over a holy paladin (LOL)... you forum dwellers sure are a fine bunch! Excellent looks! Keep it up!

Still no one's addressed my other point. Should this prot paladin (in a dps role with no prior discussion about it) be allowed to roll for a Cloth Intellect+Spell power item? maybe a Mage bis? Maybe let him have a go with your girl while he's at it?

One thing did become clear to me few replies into this thread; you people are willing to bend over backwards and come up with all sorts of wacky logic, willing to insult, try to intimidate, try to berate, gaslight, use fallacies, shift goalposts, try to cancel, misread or misinterpret, among other things JUST to agree with a GM... on an issue that WILL personally affect you negatively once you're on the other side of the gun! All while simultaneously failing to display the most basic of reading comprehension skills...

I believe my point's been proven beyond any reasonable doubt for anyone that reads this thread in good faith.
Thanks for your cooperation!

PS: I doubt I'll continue responding, at this point I'm just having to repeat myself over and over and over because most of you simply cannot read, or tell who you're responding to, and yet you expect others to trust your judgement of in-game stat priorities? LOL

The narcissism is real. What is it at this point, ten people disagreeing with you and one person agreeing? Everyone is wrong but you. Everyone is illiterate but you.

Except again you objectively *falsely* reported someone. You didnt understand how loot works. That is how this started; your ignorance. The GM was responding to *your ignorance*. Again to to be extremely clear zero ninja looting occurred. So how is a GM going to get involved. You not understanding loot and getting angry at someone is as the GM stated a player dispute. They cant do anything about someone that isn't breaking the rules.

You can repeat yourself til the cows come home it wont change that you falsely reported someone and a GM refused to do anything because no rule breaking occurred. No abuse of the Group Loot occurred. The only thing that occurred is your ignorance of itemization. You destroyed a group and falsely reported someone.

YOU MUST ESTABLISH LOOT RULES BEFORE THE RUN BEGINS.
Yes if you want to deny people direct upgrades for their current spec you need to outline that at the start of the run.
Teizertz wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 9:56 am

Yes. Objectively yes. The healer should be aiming for +healing not +spellpower. Spellpower and Intellect are pretty much the best stats for Prot Dps. You have absolutely no idea how the class changes on this server work. This isnt a debate. You are simply wrong and instead of researching this you are just doubling down. There are any number of Prot Paladin guides you could have referenced instead of writing your ignorant walls of text but you chose to remain uninformed and angry.

Yes no one is addressing your irrelevant pointless hypothetical because that isnt what happened. What happened is a mid 30s Prot Paladin rolled on mail spellpower gear which would actually be HIS bis and a healer decided to roll on it. Now, if it was an upgrade for the healer it was an upgrade and they should roll-- however you keep bringing up what's best for classes and Im sorry but spellpower is not bis for healers. Healing power is.

Again so much of your problem is just straight up ignorance of Octowows class balance. We have tried educating you but you just get angry.

Are you going to pretend that it doesn't also feature the DAMAGE part before the HEALING one?

Two things that a Paladin of any specialization would look at and say "Hey, I can make use of that" and roll need on it. Which would be their right.
Let me ask you this then since you seem to be soooo much more knowledgable: What SHOULD a Paladin focus on then?

Leggings of the Deep Delve are a HEALING item
Wraithscale Leggings are a DPS item
