Looking for a fresh way to experience Azeroth? Take on one or multiple leveling challenges. Each rewrites the rules of the journey and rewards you with exclusive titles, mounts and items.

Slow & Steady

Slow & Steady

How it works
  • Creature kill experience is set to 0.5x at all times.
  • Lose 5% of your current level's experience on death (excluding PvP).
Rewards
Together Forever

Together Forever

How it works
  • Form a fellowship by inviting up to 4 other players with the Together Forever challenge before reaching level 2.
  • You can only earn experience from kills and BG's when every member of your fellowship is near.
  • Your fellowship will share these challenges if selected by any member; War Mode, Slow & Steady, Exhaustion, Boaring, Trial of Heroism, and Brewmaster.
  • Combine with Traveling Craftsman to be able to use gear made by members of your fellowship
Rewards
  • The [Ring of Friendship], a ring that allows you to summon all members of your fellowship to your side. Has a 24 hour cooldown.
  • Level 60: Reduces the cooldown of [Ring of Friendship] to 1 hour.
Hardcore Mode

Hardcore Mode

How it works
  • Don't die.
  • If you perish, you may venture to the Dark Portal to transfer to the Normal Realm.
  • You may mail, trade, and group exclusively with players within 5 levels of you.
  • There is no auction house or dungeon finder.
Rewards
  • Reach level 60 alive and take the Dark Portal to earn the title 'Immortal'.
  • Fall in battle at level 10 or higher and you keep a title marking how far you climbed: 'Ash' (10-19), 'Ember' (20-29), 'Flame' (30-39), 'Blaze' (40-49), 'Hellfire' (50-59), or 'Inferno' (60).
War Mode

War Mode

How it works
  • Permanently flagged for PvP; you may toggle it off once only, and it can never be re-activated.
  • Earns +15% experience on quests and on kills outside dungeons, plus a further +20% inside battlegrounds.
Rewards
  • On the Hardcore realm, unlock a title as you level: 'Battle-Tested' (10-19), 'Battle-Scarred' (20-29), 'Battle-Hardened' (30-39), 'Battle-Forged' (40-49), 'Battle-Sworn' (50-59), or 'Battlelord' (60).
Exhaustion

How it works
  • No rested experience bonus.
  • Double weapon skill learn rate.

Traveling Craftsman

Traveling Craftsman

How it works
  • Until level 60 you may equip only gear you crafted yourself (fishing poles excluded).

Way of the Samurai

Way of the Samurai

How it works
  • Only available to Warrior, Paladin, Hunter and Rogue.
  • The only weapons you may equip are katana style swords, thrown weapons, and profession tools.
Rewards
  • Level 60: the title 'Master of the Blade' (and the weapon restriction lifts).
Vagrant's Endeavor

How it works
  • Below level 58: Only kills against enemies at least 3 levels above you grant experience. Exploration and battleground experience are disabled.
Rewards
  • Level 58: unlock the title 'Hero of Azeroth'.
  • Combine with the Hardcore challenge to unlock a title as you level: 'Bold' (10-19), 'Brave' (20-29), 'Valiant' (30-39), 'Gallant' (40-49), 'Hero' (50-57), or 'Hardcore Hero' (58).
Boaring Adventure

Boaring Adventure

How it works
  • Only gain experience from killing boars.
Rewards
  • Level 60: the title 'The Hambringer' and a [Black Boar] mount.
  • Combine with Exhaustion and Slow & Steady to earn The [Sword of a Thousand Truths] and title 'That Which Has No Life' when reaching level 60.
Lunatic

Lunatic

How it works
  • You earn no experience and remain level 1
Rewards
  • Explore every zone: the title 'Azeroth's Most Unlucky Tourist'.
  • Complete 100 quests: 'Hero of Goldshire' (Alliance) or 'Lazy Peon's Foreman' (Horde).
  • Reach 10,000 honorable kills: the title 'The Wee Warlord'.
  • Reach Exalted with a faction: the title 'Pint-Sized Politician'.
  • Equip the Arena Grand Master trinket: the title 'Arena's Smallest Smasher'.
