With every external caller of libdebuff:UnitDebuff / :UnitOwnDebuff
now on C_UnitAuras, the two public per-aura readers and the
nameplate-side cache they were feeding have no consumers.
- libs/libdebuff.lua: removes libdebuff:UnitDebuff (~120 lines),
libdebuff:UnitOwnDebuff (~75 lines), the _ownDebuffSortFunc helper,
and the local cache table. The slotOwnership / ownDebuffs /
allAuraCasts / pendingCasts bookkeeping stays — GetBestAuraCast
(libpredict) and GetEnhancedDebuffs (CleveRoids) still read it, and
the event handlers maintain it. GetSlotCaster / GetDebuffSlotMap
stay too; the DEBUFF_ADDED_OTHER handler and the debug printer use
them. File goes 2010 → 1870 lines.
- modules/nameplates.lua: deletes PlateCacheDebuffs (was already
rewritten on C_UnitAuras and unused once the display loop bypassed
the cache), PlateUnitDebuff, the cachedVerify scaffolding, and the
nameplate.UnitDebuff / nameplate.CacheDebuffs registrations.
- api/config.lua + modules/gui.lua: drops the now-defunct
"guessdebuffs" knob — its only effect was gating the dead cache.
ClassicAPI's recent C_UnitAuras additions (sourceUnit / sourceGUID /
non-player expirationTime / the PLAYER filter token) finally cover
everything libdebuff:UnitDebuff and :UnitOwnDebuff were doing — caster
attribution, accurate timing for non-player units, and the own-debuffs
filter. Migrating the remaining callers off the libdebuff readers.
- api/unitframes.lua: collapses the debuff render path's three-branch
if/else into a single C_UnitAuras.GetAuraDataByIndex with a HARMFUL
or HARMFUL|PLAYER filter selected by the selfdebuff config; tooltip
slot-finders match by sourceGUID instead of libdebuff's caster flag;
custom-debuff indicator scan unifies the same way.
- modules/buffwatch.lua: GetBuffData drops the libdebuff fallback;
tooltip slot-finder mirrors the unitframes pattern.
- libs/libpredict.lua: drops the orphaned UnitHasBuff slot-loop (no
callers left).
- api/api.lua: pfUI.api.UnitHasBuff tightens from a HELPFUL iteration
to a single GetAuraDataBySpellName lookup.
Each site that builds a cooldown ring from expirationTime carries the
talent-extension guard — when expirationTime exceeds the dbc base
duration (e.g. Shadow Affinity → SW:P), clamp start to now and use the
remaining time as the effective duration so CooldownFrame_SetTimer
doesn't get a future start it treats as "not yet begun".
Replaces the 99999999 sentinel with `LATEST = MIN`. The elseif
`< LATEST` then reduces to `< MIN` on source builds, which the
preceding `if` branch always catches first — so the soft-nudge never
fires for unpinned installs. No explicit guard needed.
A source/cloned install previously showed "ClassicAPI v9999.99.99 is
available" because the sentinel leaked into FormatVersion before the
release workflow could patch it. With this layout, source installs are
silent and only properly-pinned release zips trigger the nudge.
Workflow sed broadens to "= .*" so it overwrites the line regardless
of whether the RHS is a digit string or a Lua identifier.
Wrapping the version-check block in a do…end indented every constant
by two spaces, so the sed pattern's ^local anchor stopped matching and
the followup grep returned exit 1, killing the step under bash -e.
Captures the leading whitespace into \1 so the indent is preserved
through the substitution, and matches the two-space alignment between
LATEST and = so we don't accidentally hit LATEST_URL on the line below.
The earlier change pulled the ClassicAPI URL via
GetAddOnMetadata("!!!ClassicAPI", "X-Website"), but that's only
readable when ClassicAPI is loaded — and the popup that needs the URL
is exactly the case where the dep is absent or out of date. Hardcode
PFUI_CLASSIC_API_WEBSITE as a constant in pfUI.lua instead.
Also points the editbox and chat messages at /releases/latest rather
than /releases/tag/<MIN>. GitHub redirects to the actual latest
release, so users land on something current instead of the version
floor (which may be an ancient tag).
Splits the ClassicAPI version check into a hard floor (MIN, manual)
and a soft target (LATEST, pinned by the release workflow). Below MIN
pfUI disables itself entirely as before; between MIN and LATEST it
runs normally but fires a delayed chat nudge after PLAYER_LOGIN with
the available update. PLAYER_LOGIN handlers swap to
EventUtil.ContinueOnPlayerLogin so we don't have to spin a frame for
each branch.
URLs centralize on toc X-Website fields. pfUI.lua factors out
ClassicAPIReleaseUrl(version) sourcing from !!!ClassicAPI's metadata;
modules/gui.lua and libs/libdebuff.lua replace hardcoded
me0wg4ming/pfUI links with GetAddOnMetadata(pfUI.name, "X-Website")
lookups.
release.yml gains a pre-package step that queries ClassicAPI's latest
release tag, packs it (X*10000 + Y*100 + Z), and seds only the LATEST
line in pfUI.lua so the published zip ships with the correct soft
target.
Bare DisenchantAll() errored — the DLL requires an arg. Forward the
slash message through and default to "greens" when empty. Per
nampower's player_scripts.cpp, quality is a STRING keyword ("greens",
"blues", "purples", pipe-combined); numbers are interpreted as item
IDs, not quality levels. tonumber() lets users pass numeric item IDs
unquoted.
pfUI module bodies run under pfUI.env (setfenv in LoadModule), which
proxies reads to _G via __index but has no __newindex. Bare
"SLASH_FOO = ..." assignments therefore land on pfUI.env, not on _G,
and WoW's slash dispatcher reads _G.SLASH_* directly — so the slash
command never registered. SlashCmdList[KEY] assignments happened to
work because the table is read first (falls through), then the key
write hits the real global table.
/pfunitxp, /clickthrough, /ct, /disenchantall, /dea — all silently
broken until now. Fixed by prefixing SLASH_* writes with _G.
Packager auto-generates the GitHub release body from git log since the
last tag. The first release has no prior tag, so it walks all history
and overshoots GitHub's 125k-char body limit. Ship a curated
CHANGELOG.md with the highlights and point packager at it via
.pkgmeta's manual-changelog directive. Subsequent releases diff
tag-to-tag and stay small — either delete both files after this
release lands to restore auto-gen, or keep maintaining CHANGELOG.md
manually.
Switches the addon-message prefix to "pfUI-brues" so we don't share an
inbound queue with upstream pfUI installs at all — they don't register
a listener for this prefix, so our broadcasts get dropped at the engine
level instead of needing branch-string filtering on their end. The
"main" branch tag stays as a tiebreaker for any future fork variant
sharing this prefix.
Source/dev installs leave the toc Version as "@project-version@" until
release tooling substitutes it. pfUI.lua now stamps those as "dev" with
major/minor/fix=0 instead of silently falling back to 1.2.0, and
updatenotify short-circuits on pfUI.version.string == "dev" before
broadcasting so dev installs don't ship a stale low version to everyone
in guild/raid. Single source of truth — the dev marker lives in pfUI.lua.
URLs centralize via the toc's X-Website. updatenotify and firstrun read
it via GetAddOnMetadata + string.format("%s"), and all eight translation
files swap their hardcoded shagu.org references for the same %s slot.
Drive-bys: groupsize math uses ClassicAPI's IsInRaid/IsInGroup; toc
Author typo "modfied" → "modified".
The per-unit cache reset only fired when the plate's name changed, so
pool reuse between same-named units (player "Ironforge Guard" → NPC
"Ironforge Guard") carried the previous unit's cache.player into the
next OnDataChanged call. GetUnitInfo then returned the wrong table's
class, unittype flipped to FRIENDLY_PLAYER, and the bar drew in MAGE
class color. Gate the reset on cachedGuid changes too.
Stores cache.player as true/false/nil instead of "PLAYER"/"NPC" so it
flows straight into GetUnitInfo as the isPlayer hint — both in
OnDataChanged and the wait_for_scan retry, which previously dropped
the hint and ping-ponged the flag every frame.
Hoists the name-change reset above the GetUnitInfo lookup and folds the
two UnitIsPlayer call sites into one. The earlier shape resolved
cache.player upfront from cachedGuid, then redundantly re-resolved from
unitstr after the name-change reset — and the upfront block could read
stale cache.player on plate reassignment, passing a wrong isPlayer hint
to GetUnitInfo.
GetUnitInfo() probed the players table first, so an NPC sharing a name
with a known player (e.g. Chromie) inherited the player's class, level,
and guild. Adds an isPlayer hint to GetUnitInfo and resolves each
plate's actual unit type from its cached GUID via UnitIsPlayer before
the lookup. The plate's cache.player gates further work.
Routes player and nameplate castbar progress through
PixelUtil.SetStatusBarValue so a 1.4s cast on a narrow bar no longer
shimmers across fractional pixels as it ticks. Adds GetMinMaxValues /
GetValue handlers to pfUI's custom StatusBar so PixelUtil can read the
current range.
ClassicAPI's SlashCommandsRegistry now owns the canonical /focus and
/clearfocus commands (matching modern Blizzard's no-alias convention
and delegating to the engine's FocusUnit / ClearFocus polyfills).
pfUI no longer needs to register them.
The TargetByName-based name-resolution workflow that the old
SlashCmdList.PFFOCUS provided ("/focus Hogger" → swap-target, capture
focus) doesn't fit the modern /focus contract, which only takes unit
tokens. Move that behavior into a separate /focusname (alias
/pffocusname) so users who relied on typed names still have a path —
just under a different command name.
In ButtonMacroScan, when SuperCleveRoidMacros manages the slot
(CleveRoids.IsManagedAction), leave spellslot/booktype unset and return
early. This lets the button's icon, cooldown, and tooltip flow through
the addon's hooked GetActionTexture / GetActionCooldown /
GameTooltip:SetAction so they follow the active conditional dynamically,
instead of being frozen to the first statically-scanned spell.
The popup text and chat message both had hard-coded "v1.2.0" strings
that fell out of sync every time the constant bumped. Decode the
packed X*10000 + Y*100 + Z form into "vX.Y.Z" via a FormatVersion
helper and substitute it into both messages. The edit-box URL also
deep-links to the matching releases/tag/<version> page so users land
directly on the release they need.
Six allocation sites firing per visible plate per central tick (or per
throttled OnDataChanged tick) were generating heavy GC pressure visible
in pfDebug's analyzer:
- IterDebuffs callback in PlateCacheDebuffs was a fresh closure per call.
Hoisted to a module-level function with state in _pcdSelf / _pcdNow /
_pcdId, matching the pattern the icon-grid IterDebuffs already used.
- string.format("%.2f", remaining) in UpdateCastbar fired every frame per
active castbar. Factored into SetCastbarText helper that compares a
rounded integer (centi- or deci-seconds) and only formats + SetTexts
when the displayed value would actually change. lastTextTick reset
alongside lastEndTime so back-to-back casts don't collide.
- guid.."target" concat in GetCombatStateColor hit Lua's string intern
pool every call. Cached in guidTargetTokenCache, evicted alongside
the other per-guid caches in NAME_PLATE_UNIT_REMOVED.
- plate.name:SetText was unconditional; moved inside the existing
plate.cache.name change gate so it only fires on real unit changes.
- plate.level:SetText (string.format) was unconditional; gated behind a
new (level, elite) cache so the format only runs on level-up or
elite-state flips.
- C_NamePlate.GetNamePlates() poll every 0.5s allocated a fresh Lua
table just to read its length. Replaced with a visiblePlateCount
counter maintained event-driven from NAME_PLATE_UNIT_ADDED/_REMOVED.
- Switch the four GUID reads in OnDataChanged from plate.parent:GetName(1)
(SuperWoW idiom) to plate.cachedGuid (set by NAME_PLATE_UNIT_ADDED via
UnitGUID(token)). Move the initial OnDataChanged call out of
OnConfigChange's CREATE path so it runs after UNIT_ADDED has populated
cachedGuid; re-add it explicitly in the user-config-change loop.
- Reject GetUnitField's health/maxHealth when maxHealth == 100 — the
engine writes (hp_percent, 100) into UnitFields for non-detailed units
(UPDATE_PARTIAL packets carry percent only). Without this guard,
Nampower's raw field read returns the percent and the nameplate displays
"5 / 100" as if it were real HP. Mirrors libhealth's heuristic so we
fall through to its estimator instead.
- New config: nametextpos (LEFT/CENTER/RIGHT, defaults to CENTER).
Decouple the bar's anchor from the name so the name's JustifyH can
shift left/right without dragging the bar with it.
f.power.bar inherits f.power's frame level at creation. Bumping
f.power's level later doesn't propagate to existing children, so
CreateBackdrop's parent.fl - 1 backdrop ends up rendering above
the bar — a black bar appears where the power fill should be.
Set the bar's frame level explicitly to parent.fl + 1 after
CreateBackdrop to restore the bar-over-backdrop order.
Replaces the SelectQuestLogEntry-based scrape (1..50 quest indices, save/
restore log selection, per-quest GetQuestLogQuestText + GetNumQuestLeaderBoards
+ GetQuestLogLeaderBoard, string-blob with _obj_req_ markers, substring-by-
name match in AddTooltip) with a single C_QuestLog.GetQuestIDForLogIndex +
C_QuestLog.GetQuestDetails round-trip per quest.
Build an itemID-keyed { index, count } map up front and look up directly
in AddTooltip. Fixes false matches where an item name happens to substring-
match unrelated quest text.
Adds a Fizzle-style durability label to each character pane slot.
Renders at the bottom of the slot icon as "N%" colored by the existing
DURABILITY_THRESHOLD_COLORS table (red < orange < yellow < invasion <
green), or hidden when the item has no durability stat (necks, rings,
trinkets) or the slot is empty.
api/api.lua: new pfUI.api.CreateFontString(f, key, layer, size, flags,
font) helper following the CreateBackdrop pattern — idempotent
get-or-create that attaches the FontString to the parent frame as the
named field. Defaults to pfUI.font_default at C.global.font_size with
OUTLINE on the OVERLAY layer.
skins/blizzard/character.lua: scoreText migrated from the inline
"if not frame.scoreText then ..." block to the new helper as a working
example; new durabilityText created the same way at BOTTOM/size 10.
Durability render added to RefreshCharacterSlot — runs on every
PaperDollItemSlotButton_Update so equip/unequip/repair/damage all
refresh automatically.
api/config.lua + modules/gui.lua: new C.character.inventory.durability
toggle (default "1"). GUI lives under a new top-level "Character" tab
→ "Inventory" sub-tab, leaving room for future "Reputation" / "Skills"
sub-tabs at the same level.
pfUI's built-in sorter (modules/bags.lua) always creates the sort
buttons on the right/left bag frames now, so the third-party
RegisterBagSort path's "if not pfUI.bag.right.sort" guard would skip
button-creation entirely — yet still set pfUI.thirdparty.bagsort to
the registering addon's name. Net effect: user installed SortBags or
MrPlow, our internal sort runs anyway. Silent override of user intent.
Strip the dead button-creation paths; rebind the existing buttons'
OnClick + OnEnter to the registered third-party functions instead.
Third-party addons now actually fire when the user clicks. -53 lines.
Inline the bag sorter from Bagnon/lib/BagSort.lua — two-pointer stack
consolidation, then a category-then-name sort with poor (gray) items
placed back-to-front so they sit at the end of the last bag. Sort
buttons land in the existing button row on both the bag (right) and
bank (left) frames.
Fixes a destructuring mismatch in the port: pfUI's compat/vanilla.lua
shims GetItemInfo to the modern 10-field return signature (inserts nil
for itemLevel between quality and minlevel), so itype/subtype sit at
positions 6/7 — not 5/6 like the Bagnon original assumes against raw
vanilla. Without the extra placeholder every item fell through to the
"non-gear by quality" bucket.
Drop the now-vestigial expansion plumbing.
- Delete modules/thirdparty-tbc.lua + its xml Include
- Strip 10 tbc-tagged CreateConfig calls in modules/gui.lua
- Drop the expansion arg from CreateConfig() signature + the disabled-
entry rendering path that depended on it
- Drop the showdisabled GUI toggle + its default
- Simplify pfUI:RegisterModule / pfUI:RegisterSkin to (name, func) only
- Strip the leading version arg ("vanilla:tbc", etc.) from all 114
Register call sites
- Delete the pfUI.expansion variable
Per-hour numbers are too coarse to feel actionable while watching a
tent fill — switching to /min so the displayed rate updates in a more
useful range for the actual sampling cadence.
The data frame now subscribes to UPDATE_EXHAUSTION and stores a sliding
5-minute window of (time, exhaustion) samples. The XP tooltip uses the
first/last samples in the window to compute rest gain per hour, and
projects time to reach UnitXPMax * 1.5 at the current rate.
Useful for Turtle WoW's tent mechanic — when you stand under a tent
you accumulate rested XP at an accelerated rate, and now you can see
how long until you cap.
Samples reset on PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD (zone change can change the
gain rate) and PLAYER_LEVEL_UP (Blizzard rescales exhaustion
proportionally on level-up so prior samples no longer describe the
same gain curve).
The rate/time lines only appear when there are at least 2 samples in
the window and the gain is positive — so they stay hidden when not
actively gaining rested XP.
The byte-2-of-UNIT_BYTES_1 extraction this function did manually
(math.floor(b/65536) - math.floor(b/16777216)*256 on the GetUnitField
return) is precisely what GetShapeshiftFormID reads under the hood —
descriptor +0x212. Collapses to a one-liner that doesn't need to
mirror the engine's byte layout in Lua.
GameTooltip:HasUnit() / GameTooltip:GetUnitGUID() ask the tooltip
directly what unit it's displaying (returns the GUID), and
UnitTokenFromGUID resolves that to a unit token. So instead of
iterating mouseover/player/pet/target plus party1..4, partypet1..4,
raid1..40, raidpet1..40 and string-matching each against
GameTooltipTextLeft1:GetText(), this is now a three-line lookup.
Bonus: drops the UnitName / UnitPVPName fallback string match (which
broke on duplicate names across the realm and on tooltips showing PVP
titles that didn't exactly match a token's UnitPVPName output). GUID
is canonical.
Two-part collapse:
Button-click sell path: was a 0.1s-per-item manual iteration via
UseContainerItem (with processed[] tracking + a merchant-state flag +
OnShow/OnUpdate/OnHide handler trio). Now calls SellJunkAndReport
which fires C_MerchantFrame.SellAllJunkItems and a 0.3s deferred
GetMoney delta reporter. Engine handles per-frame sell pacing.
Button enable/disable check: HasGreyItems() iterated bags 0..4 with
C_Item.GetItemQuality manually. Replaced with
C_MerchantFrame.GetNumJunkItems() > 0 (the engine's canonical answer
to the same question). The button's Update only runs from MERCHANT_SHOW
/ MERCHANT_UPDATE handlers so the "merchant must be open" gate on
GetNumJunkItems is always satisfied.
Side effect: the MERCHANT_SHOW auto-sell path NOW reports income to
chat. Previously only the manual button reported it.
Deleted: HasGreyItems, processed/count/gold state, GetNextGreyItem,
autovendor.merchant flag, OnShow/OnUpdate/OnHide handlers, the
MERCHANT_CLOSED branch.
170 → 104 lines.
Each pfSellData entry was a "sell, buy" string. The sell price duplicates
what C_Item.GetItemSellPriceByID returns from the engine's item DBC, so
it's redundant in our table — only the buy price (curated from real
vendor encounters, not a static item property) needs to live here.
Transformed every [id]="X,Y" entry across env/tables.lua, compat/tbc.lua,
and modules/turtle-wow.lua to [id]=Y via sed. Format is now itemid →
buyPrice (number, copper).
sellvalue.lua: reads sell from C_Item.GetItemSellPriceByID(id), reads
buy from pfSellData[id]. Items that have only a sell price (not in
pfSellData) now display sell-only — previously they got no tooltip
addition because the lookup gated on table membership. Items with
buy-only (sell == 0 in old data) still display buy correctly.
autovendor.lua: replaces the pfSellData[id] gate (which only checked
table membership and unused the parsed sell/buy) with a direct
C_Item.GetItemSellPriceByID > 0 check — the engine's canonical
"is this item sellable to a vendor" answer.
sellvalue.lua: SetItemRef hook follows the same pattern questitem.lua
got earlier — replaces the local-Hook + _G.SetItemRef monkey-patch with
hooksecurefunc, drops the string.find link-parser, and reads itemID
directly from ItemRefTooltip:GetItem after the original populates the
tooltip. The OnShow path also moves from libtooltip:GetItemLink/GetItemID
to GameTooltip:HasItem/GetItem (libtooltip:GetItemCount stays — it's
populated by libtooltip's own SetBagItem hook and carries the stack
count, which GetItem doesn't return).
unusable.lua: the two post-hooks (pfUI.bag.UpdateSlot and
BankFrameItemButton_UpdateLock) are textbook hooksecurefunc cases —
both ran the original then did extra work, no conditional skip or
return-value tampering. The table form of hooksecurefunc handles
pfUI.bag.UpdateSlot cleanly.
The 30-line GUID → name resolver (manually checking player, target, then
walking raid1..40 / party1..4 for a matching UnitGUID) collapses to
calling UnitTokenFromGUID and then UnitName on the returned token.
ClassicAPI's UnitTokenFromGUID walks the same engine unit-token table
internally — same correctness, less Lua.
GetPlayerGuid stays (still used by the AURA_CAST event filter).
GetActionInfo + GetMacroSpell resolve each action slot to a spell name
(or skip if it's an item / empty / non-resolvable macro). The names to
match against come from C_Spell.GetSpellName on the canonical rank-1
spellIDs (78 = Heroic Strike, 845 = Cleave) so the comparison is
locale-independent without hardcoding all ranks: every rank of Heroic
Strike returns the same localized name.
Replaces the old two-path scan (texture string match + hardcoded
English name match against "heroic strike" / "hs" / "cleave"). Closes
two correctness holes the old logic had: macros that cast HS/Cleave
with a custom icon now match correctly, and macros merely *named* "HS"
without actually casting HS no longer false-match.
Replaces the texture-from-action + "no macro text" heuristic with a
proper resolve-to-spellID step. Macros that cast a 40y heal but
display a non-spell icon (custom macro icon, /castsequence wrappers,
etc.) now match correctly — the previous code missed them because
GetActionTexture returns the macro's icon, not the underlying spell's.
C_Spell.GetSpellTexture(spellID) returns the spell's intrinsic icon
path, which is what the class-spell table is keyed on, so the
texture-comparison logic is unchanged.
The three UseAction hooks in libtotem / libpredict / libcast all did
the same dance: filter out macros via GetActionText, then tooltip-scan
the action to recover the spell name + rank. ClassicAPI's
GetActionInfo + GetMacroSpell make both steps unnecessary:
- GetActionInfo returns ("spell", spellID) or ("macro", macroSlot)
- GetMacroSpell resolves a macroSlot to (name, rank, spellID) at the
highest known rank, parsed engine-side at macro save time
So macros are no longer skipped — they resolve to their cast spell
just like a raw spell action. libtotem queue gains a real spellID
(the previous "no spellId available, icon-based fallback" comment is
obsolete). libcast also wins: it can feed the resolved spellID
through FindSpellBookSlotByID + libspell.GetSpellInfo(slot, "spell")
without the name-with-rank-suffix string concat round-trip.
Drops libtipscan:GetScanner("prediction") usage in libtotem and
libpredict, and libtipscan:GetScanner("libcast") in libcast.
Drops the legacy pfUI.api.GetItemCount wrapper (name-based bag walk +
GetItemInfo per slot) entirely — both call sites switch to direct
C_Item.GetItemCount(itemID) calls.
actionbar reagent counter: drops the SPELL_REAGENTS tooltip-scan +
libtipscan dependency. UpdateSlot now does GetActionInfo(slot) →
spellID → C_Spell.GetSpellReagents → reagent itemID, stored per slot.
Counts update via C_Item.GetItemCount(itemID). reagent_counts is
keyed by itemID instead of localized name string. Multi-reagent
spells now resolve cleanly (only first reagent counted, matching old
single-name behavior). Macro and bag-item actions skip cleanly.
questitem: switches to hooksecurefunc("SetItemRef", ...) + the
modern GameTooltip:HasItem / :GetItem pair instead of monkey-patching
_G.SetItemRef and string.find-parsing the "item:NNN" out of the link.
Drops the libtooltip indirection for the regular tooltip path —
GameTooltip:GetItem returns name + itemID directly. AddTooltip
extended to accept the itemID (both callers already had it and were
discarding it).
Drops the three other range-check paths and the target-juggling
machinery they required:
- Nampower IsSpellInRange branch + spellbook-scan to find the spell name
- UnitXP_SP3 distance check (api.lua's UnitInRange wrapper still owns
the UnitXP precise mode independently)
- Vanilla IsActionInRange fallback that briefly retargeted via
TargetUnit / TargetLastTarget
With target-juggling gone, this also deletes the support scaffolding it
required: PlaySound override, TargetFrame_OnEvent swap, ReAttack /
lastattack restoration, the wand and combo-points detection frames
(both were suspension guards for target-juggling), the loot/inspect/
trade/combat skip-checks, librange's pfScanActive set/clear (focus.lua
still uses its own), and the librange_isLoggingOut crash workaround
the target-flip path needed.
Target case still uses IsActionInRange (vanilla-native, works for
hostile targets too); friendly party/raid/pet scan uses UnitPosition.
The friendly-only restriction on UnitPosition isn't an issue because
the scan list contains only friendlies anyway.
DPS classes (no 40y healing spell in `spells[class]`) now also get
party/raid range coloring; they only miss the target case, which is
unchanged from before.
328 → 166 lines.
Replaces the Phase 1 buff-slot loop + tooltip-scanned mount-string match
with a single Dismount() call. The implementation in ClassicAPI scans
for SPELL_AURA_MOUNTED on the player's auras and sends the cancel
packet itself, so we don't have to maintain a localized list of mount
tooltip patterns ("Increases speed by X%", "Erhöht Tempo um X%", etc.).
Drops pfUI.autoshift.mounts (the 20-line localized-string table) and
pfUI.autoshift.scanner (its only consumer). Module is down to ~50 lines
from ~150 at session start.
Replaces autoshift's Phase 2 (form-ID → texture lookup → buff iteration →
CancelPlayerBuff(bid)) with a single CancelShapeshiftForm() call. The
implementation in ClassicAPI walks the buff slots and matches via
Spell.dbc effect arrays itself, so we don't have to maintain a form-ID
→ texture map on the Lua side.
Drops pfUI.autoshift.shapeshifts entirely (no longer consulted) and the
turtle-wow.lua block that conditionally appended Tree of Life / Stag
Form textures — Turtle's added DBC rows (form IDs 9 and 11) are handled
natively by the same scan.
actionbar.lua: pageswitch now listens to UPDATE_SHAPESHIFT_FORM as the
authoritative form-change signal. PLAYER_AURAS_CHANGED becomes a
narrowly-scoped prowl-detection trigger that runs after form state is
already known. The Nampower SPELL_GO_SELF hook drops its Cat Form
(spellID 768) branch — UPDATE_SHAPESHIFT_FORM covers form changes
without per-spellID watchlists. Prowl IDs stay hooked for zero-latency
detection that PLAYER_AURAS_CHANGED can't match.
autoshift.lua: the texture-list shapeshift detection becomes a form-ID-
keyed map. GetShapeshiftFormID returns the active form directly so we
don't have to texture-match against every possible form pattern. The
moonkin_scan frame disappears entirely — its talent-conditional was a
workaround for the agility buff sharing Moonkin's icon, which form ID
makes irrelevant (form 31 is only reported when the player is genuinely
in Moonkin Form). Loop also splits into two phases for clarity: mount
priority pass, then form cancel.
Drops the C_UnitAuras helpful-aura iteration in favor of a direct engine
state read. GetShapeshiftFormID returns vanilla 1.12.1's stable per-form
DBC ID (Cat = 1), so the helper collapses to a one-liner that's
locale-independent, talent-independent, and works without scanning any
buff list.
FullScan/HasProwlBuff stop iterating GetPlayerBuffTexture(0..31) for the
prowl buff — that's exactly what ClassicAPI's IsStealthed() returns,
locale-independent and zero allocations. Cat-form detection still needs
the icon (GetShapeshiftForm's index varies by talents/learned forms) but
moves to one C_UnitAuras.GetUnitAuras iteration over populated auras via
the new HasCatForm helper.
The inline cat-form recheck after a prowl ends collapses to one
HasCatForm() call. HasProwlBuff is inlined to IsStealthed() at its
single call site.
Both indicator scan loops (preset HoT indicators + custom name-based
indicators) now iterate the populated aura array from
C_UnitAuras.GetUnitAuras instead of brute-forcing UnitBuff(1..32). The
Rejuvenation/Renew/Regrowth disambiguation that previously required
scanner:SetUnitBuff + Line(1) tooltip scans now reads aura.name natively.
HoT-icon → name+predict mappings lifted into a HOT_INDICATORS table at
file scope so future additions are one-line edits.
The custom-debuff loop still defers to libdebuff for caster correlation
when available; C_UnitAuras provides the texture/name backstop. Also
unifies the non-selfdebuff debuff display branches through one
GetDebuffDataByIndex call.
Local `scanner` declaration removed (no remaining tooltip-scan uses in
this file).
The three customcast handlers (Aimed Shot, Multi-Shot, Steady Shot) each
iterated 1..32 UnitBuff slots checking the same four icon paths for
haste-providing buffs. Lifted into libcast.ApplyShotHaste which iterates
the populated auras once via C_UnitAuras.GetUnitAuras and reads from a
single SHOT_HASTE lookup table. Three loop copies collapse to one helper.
Kept texture-keyed matching (rather than spellID) because the Naxx
trinket and Quick Shots procs have spell-ID variants across server
flavors but stable icons.
BuffOnClick/DebuffOnClick switch to lazy bid lookup before CancelPlayerBuff
(matching the pattern in buff.lua/buffwatch.lua). DebuffOnEnter unifies its
player and non-player branches through GameTooltip:SetUnitAura — the only
divergent path is the selfdebuff caster-correlation lookup that still
needs libdebuff.
Player branch in GetBuffData now reads from C_UnitAuras.GetAuraDataByIndex
directly, dropping the GetPlayerBuff chain plus the tooltip-scan for the
buff name. Lazy bid resolution for CancelPlayerBuff. All four tooltip
calls (SetPlayerBuff/SetUnitBuff/SetUnitDebuff x2) collapse to the unified
GameTooltip:SetUnitAura. UnitDebuff dispel-color lookup at line 312 reads
aura.dispelName instead. libdebuff path preserved for non-player units
that still need caster correlation.
